The New Zealand Government has put in place strong national quality assurance systems, designed to help institutions maintain the quality and consistency of training and assessment programmes. All courses, programmes and qualifications which are offered in the territory of New Zealand are registered by the New Zealand Qualification Authority. This helps to maintain the quality of education. Education providers (such as English language schools) that are not registered with NZQA cannot offer an officially recognised course.

VISITOR

Visit Visa is a category which allow its Visa holder to live in New Zealand for a maximum period of 9 months.

Travel to New Zealand as a visitor must be to:

  • Visit as a tourist, see friends and relatives;
  • Study (one course of up to 3 months);
  • Undertake a business trip; or
  • Undertake medical treatment.

You must also:

  • Have a passport that's valid for at least 3 months past the date you are to leave New Zealand;
  • Be a genuine tourist, and can show evidence of your intention to leave; and
  • Provide proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay.
  • You are not allowed to work unless you attain work permit
